Biographical Information for Richard Earle, Ph.D. 

As Director of the Canadian Institute of Stress and of the Hans Selye Foundation, Richard Earle has continued to develop the research and educational commitments of his mentor and colleague, Dr. Hans Selye.

Prior to joining the Institute and the Foundation on a full time basis in 1982, Dr. Earle held senior consultative and program management posts with the governments of Canada and several of its provinces. His research focuses -- on stress and the biomarkers of human aging, and on biopsychosocial factors inÊ workplace change -- have led to his appointments to professional associations in North America, Europe and Japan.

He has held graduate faculty appointments in several universities since 1969, in departments of Psychology, Sociology, Nursing and Medicine. His commitment to multi-disciplinary professional education led to his appointment (1994) to the Board of Governors of Selye-Toffler University.
